The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is low-cost, often little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the issue of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one business is making the most of the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It’s set up the Middle East’s very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It’s showing successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald’s.
